The help window
These articles also live inside the app. Press F1 to open them, with a search, and read them with no internet connection.
You do not have to leave the app to find an answer. The help window holds the same articles as this website. Its text is stored inside the app, so it opens even when you are offline.
Open it
- Press F1.
- Or choose Menu, then Help & docs.
- Or click the app’s mark at the far left of the top bar, then Help & docs.
- Or open Settings and click Help & docs in the list at the left.
- On the start screen there is a Help link at the top.
The window opens on the article you read last. The first time, it opens on the first one. The command Help & docs is in the search (CtrlK) too.
Find your way
- The list at the left
- Every article, in groups. Click one to read it.
- The article
- At the right. At its end, Previous and Next take you to the neighbours. A link inside an article opens the other article in the same window. A Copy button next to a command copies it.
- The search field
- At the top. Type a word or two. The list changes into the articles that contain them, best match first, with a few words around the hit. Enter opens the first one. The words are marked in the article.
- Website
- A button at the top right. It opens the same pages on the website, which is where the pictures live.
- F1
- Open the help window
- /
- Jump to the search field, while you are not typing
- Enter
- In the search field: open the first result
- Esc
- Clear the search. Press it again to close the window
Good to know
- The pictures are loaded from the website. Without an internet connection the text is all there, and the pictures are left out.
- The text is a copy made when your version of the app was built. The website can be newer.
- The help window does not change anything in your scene. Close it and you are back where you were.
