Mesta pešcem — TamTam

A poster for pesec.si with one job: make the case for cities that belong to people on foot. We wanted a single image you understand from the other side of the street, before you have read a word.

So the city stands on a shoe. A worn canvas high-top is tipped on its heel, and a whole skyline, towers, blocks and a strip of green, grows out of the sole. The scuffed toe cap matters as much as the buildings; it says this shoe has done the walking. Everything floats on a calm sky blue with a soft shadow, and the line Mesta pešcem! sits small at the bottom, because the picture has already said it.

The poster won City Poster of the Year at TamTam 2018 and ran on street displays across Ljubljana.
