Festival Grounded 2025

This edition went close. The visuals are macro studies of something growing on dark rock: soft, folded forms in pink and deep red, somewhere between coral, fungus and tissue. We wanted an image that feels alive before it means anything.

The surfaces were the design problem. Light passes into the forms and comes back out warm, so the folds glow from within, while the rock stays matte and cold. A shallow depth of field keeps only a slice in focus, the way a real macro lens would, and the camera barely moves.

The motion pieces are slow on purpose. They breathe rather than animate, and they work as backdrops on stage as much as posts in a feed.
