Build an identity around truth and resistance in a post-truth era.
Solidarity, elimination of inequality and peaceful co-existence assume the existence of truth, and truthfulness as the value of public action. In the post-truth world, these assumptions no longer exist.
Those in positions of power often lie without legal or other social sanction. The ruling party-owned media spreads lies about those who resist them. Social networks increase the reach of conspiracy theories, while platforms are placed in the role of arbiters of truth.
We turned that into a set of still lifes about how information is made, carried and silenced. An old television leaking something green and synthetic. A microphone wrapped in chain. A police baton lying among opened hard drives. Letter dice spelling the word on a crowd barrier. Each object is ordinary; the staging is what makes it uneasy.
The look is forensic: near-black backgrounds, hard directional light, and two signal colours, an acid green and an alarm red, used the way a terminal uses them. Type is set like evidence labels, small, monospaced and precise, with the artist and speaker lists stacked in colour over the renders. The same objects carry the poster, the banners and the vertical formats.
